Exploring the Tallinn Christmas Market
Situated in Raekoja Square, the Tallinn Christmas Markets have been a fixture of the city's winter celebrations since 2001 and the event remains one of the most-visited Christmas markets in Europe. Gathered around an enormous Christmas tree and draped in decorations, the markets are a collection of artisan stalls selling everything from woolly hats and slippers to ceramics and glassware.

Visitors can find a hearty meal with the selection of pork, blood sausages and sauerkraut on sale at the food stalls. Or if you have a sweet tooth, you can enjoy cookies, gingerbread and marzipan, all topped off with a glass of delicious hot mulled wine. Children can even mail letters to Saint Nick by posting them at the Santa Claus cabin.
